Abstract - Network centralization is an act that promises enormous paybacks in education, it centralizes data access and replaces many individual systems and unique processes with common management procedures resulting in potentially dramatic improvement in equipment utilization and lower operating costs. It has other benefits among them are: Greater availability, Better and more responsive service level, Flexibility to rapid response to change, Cost effective computing, Better security, Quality education, Organizational efficiency, improved administration. In this paper, OPNET IT Guru Academic Edition modeling software was used to perform capacity planning study. The application was used to predict the impact the application deployed over the network will have on the network resources and the impact the network itself will have on the application performance. |

Abstract - Optical fiber systems have become the linchpin of modern telecommunications for the broadband networks worldwide. Wide Bandwidth transmission of a signal with low latency is a necessity in todays applications. Optical fibers posses the characteristics of offering huge transmission bandwidth with meager delay and a choice on selecting transmission medium intended for transmission of high data rate in telecommunication networks. This survey paper gives an overview on the evaluation of traffic trends in optical communication networks and discusses their key technologies. It emphasizes the anticipated capacity dilemma and required challenges to acquire by presenting an optimal solution to compete with the traffic growth in the next decade. |

Abstract - Security in the computer is largely supported by passwords for authentication process. Alphanumeric passwords still remain as the most common Authentication method. This conventional authentication method has been shown to be susceptible security threats such as phishing attack, brute force attack, dictionary attack, spyware attack etc. To overcome the vulnerabilities of traditional methods, a numerous graphical password authentication systems have been designed. These graphical passwords are usually seen as complex and time consuming. Furthermore, the existing graphical passwords are susceptible to spyware and shoulder surfing attacks. In this paper we propose this 2 step random coloured grid graphical password scheme to abolish the above mentioned well known security threats. Considering the drawbacks of the existing graphical password systems, we have proposed a robust graphical password scheme, which is highly adaptable for traditional desktop systems, smart phones and other web applications. |
